Sojourner Terms of Use

Last updated: October 31, 2026 (pilot).

What Sojourner is

Sojourner is a lodge-visitation game, offered during its pilot as an informational and recreational tool. It is an independent project, operated by Sojourner. It is not an official product of, and is not endorsed by, the Grand Lodge of Washington or any lodge.

Not an official record

Your passport, points, levels, and visit history in the app are your own game records. They are not official records of any lodge or of the Grand Lodge, they confer no Masonic standing or recognition, and they are no substitute for a dues card or any official credential. Lodge details (addresses, meeting times, officers) come from the public Lodge Locator and may be out of date — confirm with the lodge before traveling.

Your records belong to you

Your travel and visit records — check-ins, photos, points, and profile — are yours. During the pilot they live only on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. You may erase them at any time from Profile ("Erase all local data"). If player accounts launch, records you choose to sync will remain yours; the terms for that service will be published before it opens.

Travel safely

Points never reward speed or bad-weather driving, and no game element is worth a risk on the road. Check in after you arrive, and share after you leave. Visit only lodges whose Grand Lodge is in amity with your own, and follow each lodge's own rules while you are its guest.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy of lodge information, distances, and meeting computations, and uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sojourner is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or reliance on its information.

Changes

These pilot terms may be updated; the current version always lives at this page, with its date above.
